Maintaining a Contract Project

A contract inherits all of the projects that were part of the proposal from which it was transitioned. At the contract stage, these are called contract projects. As the work on a contract progresses, the agency sometimes determines that additional work not originally estimated in the proposal, but which logically would be part of the current contract must be performed. In these circumstances, a new contract project is added to the contract to manage the new work.

The Contract Project Summary contains all the information currently recorded for the contract project. To access this component, navigate to the Contract Project Overview and select Open from the Actions menu on the contract project row.

The Contract Project Summary opens on the General tab, where you can view or change the following information:

Click in a field and add, change, or delete information as required. When you are finished, click the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.

To add a new contract project, select Add New from the Actions menu on the component header (see Adding a Contract Project).

To maintain additional information for the contract project, click the following tabs:

Categories

Districts

Click this tab to view or maintain district information for the project (see Maintaining Contract Project Districts).

Counties

Click this tab to view or maintain county information for the project (see Maintaining Contract Project Counties).

Points

Click this tab to view or maintain location points for the project (see Maintaining Contract Project Points)

Road Segments

Click this tab to view or maintain road segment information for the project (see Maintaining Contract Project Road Segments).

Bridge Segments

Click this tab to view or maintain bridge segment information for the project (see Maintaining Contract Project Bridge Segments).

Wage Decisions

Click this tab to view or maintain the wage decisions currently assigned to the contract project (see Maintaining Contract Project Wage Decisions).

Vouchers

Click this tab to view a list of vouchers paid for work on the contract project (see Maintaining Contract Project Vouchers).

Retainage

Click this tab to maintain retainage information for the contract project (see Maintaining Contract Project Retainage).

Note: This tab is only available if your agency has selected the agency option to withhold retainage at the project level.

Design
Evaluations

Click this tab to maintain design evaluations for the contract project (see Maintaining Contract Project Design Evaluations).
