Maintaining a Subcontract

The Subcontract Summary contains all the information currently recorded about the subcontract, including subcontract items and trucking information. To access the Subcontract Summary, navigate to the Subcontract Overview, locate the row for the subcontract, and then click the Sub Num link or select Open from the Actions menu on the subcontract row.

The Subcontract Summary component opens on the Detail tab, which allows you to view or change information in these fields:

In the Work Classifications section, you can view or change information in these fields:

Click in a field and add, change, or delete information as required. To add an additional work classification, click the empty Name field in the Work Classifications section, and then select a value from the drop-down list. The system automatically adds another empty Name field. You can continue adding multiple work classifications as needed.

When you are finished making changes, click the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.

To add a new subcontract to the contract record, select Add New from the Actions menu on the component header. The system takes you to the Add Subcontract component (see Adding a Subcontract).

To maintain additional information for the subcontract, click the following tabs:

Items

Click this tab to view a list of all the items assigned to the subcontract, with unit prices and extended amounts (see Maintaining Subcontract Items).

Trucking

Click this tab to view a list of all the trucking firms associated with the subcontract (see Maintaining Subcontract Trucking).

Truck Types

Click this tab to go to a list of all the truck types currently associated with the trucking firm (see Maintaining Subcontractor Truck Types). From this list you can add, change, and delete truck type information.
