Maintaining Subcontract Items

  1. Adding a Subcontract Item

The Items tab of the Subcontract Summary contains all of the item information for the selected subcontract. The upper part of the component displays the following subcontract item totals:

The lower part of the component contains an accordion list of all of the prime contractor low cost items associated with the subcontract. Each row represents one subcontract item and includes an Actions button.

Click anywhere in an item row to expand it and display all the available information. You can view or change information in these fields:

Click in a field and add, change, or delete information as needed.

To delete a subcontract item, select Delete from the Actions menu on the item row.

To reverse the delete action, click the Undo button. To save your changes, click the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.

To review subcontract project items for an item, select Open Subcontract Project Items from the Actions menu on the item row. For more information, see Viewing Subcontract Item Information.

Adding a Subcontract Item

Follow these steps to add one or more items to the subcontract:

  1. On the Subcontract Summary, click the Items tab, and then click the Select Items button.

    The system displays the Select Items modal window.

  2. In the modal window, type criteria in the Quick Find search box that matches the item you want to add.

    If the current subcontract has no parent subcontract, the list contains all of the contract items that meet your search criteria and are not already associated with the current subcontract. If the subcontract has a parent subcontract, the list contains all of the parent subcontract items that meet your search criteria and are not already associated with the current subcontract.  

  3. Click the row for each item you want to add.

    The system adds a check mark beside each item you select and shades the row. To cancel a selection, click the selected row again.

  4. Click the Add to Subcontract button.

    The system closes the modal window and takes you to the Items tab of the Subcontract Summary with the new items added to the list. You can expand each new row to add additional information to the record if needed.

  5. When you are finished maintaining subcontract item information, click the Save button.

    The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.
