The Contract Project Items tab on the Contract Items component provides a view of all the items in the contract, listed by project category.
The tab contains an accordion list of all the project categories in the contract. Each project category row displays an Actions button, a count of how many project items are in the category and current values for these fields:
Expand a category row to view a list of all the items in that category in subordinate rows. Each subordinate row includes an Actions button. To view more information about a contract project item, click anywhere in the item row to expand it and display these fields:
The system will roll up items to the same Contract Item Line Number if the contract project items in the contract have the same Contract Item Line Number, Reference Item ID, Supplemental Description, and Unit Price.
The contract project category row Actions menu has the following functions:
Select Delete to delete a contract project category.
Select Regenerate Materials and Acceptance Actions to to regenerate materials and acceptance actions for all items in a contract project category.
Select Attachments to manage attachments in a project. See Working with Attachments.
Select Tracked Issues to manage tracked issues for a project. See Maintaining Tracked Issue Information.
Select Links to manage links in a project. See Working with Links.
Click the Save button when you are finished.
The contract project items row Actions menu has the following functions:
Select Create Material Set to add a material set to a contract project item after materials and acceptance actions have been generated for the contract. The system takes you to the Add Contract Project Item Material Set Material Summary. See Adding a Material Set to a Contract Project Item.
Select Delete to delete a contract project item
Note: To delete an item, the contract project must have a status of Pending and the item must have a record source of Construction.
Select Regenerate Materials and Acceptance Actions to regenerate materials and acceptance actions for the selected item in a contract project after materials and acceptance actions have been generated for the contract. See Regenerating Materials and Acceptance Action for Contract Project Items.
Select Attachments to manage attachments in a project. See Working with Attachments.
Select Tracked Issues to manage tracked issues for a project. See Maintaining Tracked Issue Information.
Select Links to manage links in a project. See Working with Links.
To add an item, the contract project must have a status of Pending. You cannot add items to a contract project with an Active status. Also, if the contract was transitioned from Preconstruction, the item to be added must have a zero unit price (non-zero unit price items can only be added with a change order).
To add a new item to a contract project, follow these steps:
On the Contract Items component, click the Contract Project Items tab.
Locate the project category row to which you want to add the item, and choose Select Items from the row Actions menu.
The system displays a modal window for selecting items.
Locate the item you want to add to the contract project by typing criteria in the Quick Find search box.
The system lists active items for the project's spec book that meet your search criteria.
Click the row for each item you want to add.
The system adds a check mark beside each item you select and shades the row. To cancel a selection, click the selected row again.
Click the Add Items button.
The system closes the modal window and adds the new items to the list on the Contract Project Items tab.
