You can enter and maintain price tasks for reference items to support different estimation methodologies, including bid-based pricing, reference pricing, and cost-based pricing. The availability of reference item price tasks enables the person performing the estimation to make adjustments as needed to support the specific circumstances and unique characteristics of the current estimate.
The Price Tasks tab on the Item Summary component lists all of the price tasks associated with this reference item. Information is divided into three sections: Bid-Based Task, Reference Price Tasks, and Cost-Based Tasks.
In the Bid-Based Task section, you can enter one task to price the item based on historical bid information. Only one bid-based task is allowed. You can view or change information in these fields:
Click in a field and add, delete, or change information as needed.
In the Task Group field, only task groups for this reference item are available for selection. In the Bid History Profile field, only reference bid history profiles are available for selection. In the Other Item field, items are available for selection only if they are active, share the same spec book and unit system as the current reference item, and are not parametric or lump sum items.
Clearing or selecting the Active check box determines whether the bid-based price is included in the cost estimate.
Note: If the agency option for Prohibit Multiple Active Price Bases is set to Yes, only one price task on an item can be active at a time unless the active price tasks are in the same task group.
When you are finished making changes, click the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved.
After bid-based price tasks are set up, you can copy them from one reference item to another as needed. To copy a bid price task to the current reference item, perform these steps:

Tasks tab on the Item Summary, select Copy
