Using Estimator with Web-Based AASHTOWare Project Proposals

Estimator is a separate application that interacts with web-based AASHTOWare Project to develop detailed cost estimates for your highway construction projects. For more information, see Using Estimator with AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction.

If your agency uses Estimator, you can export, check in, and check out proposals to Estimator by using the Proposal Overview component.

To create a proposal file for exporting to Estimator, locate the proposal and select Export Proposal To Estimator from the Actions menu on the proposal row (for more information, see Exporting a Proposal to Estimator).
To lock the proposal so that only pricing information can be updated in Estimator, locate the proposal and select Check Out Proposal To Estimator from the Actions menu on the proposal row. This locks the proposal so that other users cannot make changes to it until you check it back in (for more information, see Checking Out a Proposal to Estimator).
To check in a proposal that you checked out to Estimator, select Import File from the Actions menu on the Menu Bar. For more information, see Checking in a Proposal from Estimator and Importing with the Data Loader.
