Managing Projects in a Prime Project

The Projects tab on the Prime Project Summary contains a rolling list of all the projects currently associated with the prime project. Each row represents one project and contains an Actions button and current values for the following fields:

• Project

• Description

• Spec Bk

• Unit Sys

• Controlling Proj

• Federal Proj Num

• State Proj Num

The fields on this tab are for viewing purposes only and cannot be modified.

To add a new prime project to the system, click the Add New button on the component header (see Adding a Prime Project).

To remove a project from the prime project, select Remove from the Actions menu for the project you want to dissociate. The system removes the selected project from the prime project and saves the change automatically.

Associating Projects with a Prime Project

Follow these steps to associate one or more projects with the prime project:

1. To associate one or more projects with this prime project, click the Select Projects button.
   
   The system displays a modal window for selecting projects.

2. In the modal window, type criteria in the Quick Find search box to locate the project you want to associate with the prime project.
   
   The system lists all the projects that meet your search criteria.

3. Click the row for each project you want to associate with the prime project.
   
   The system adds a check mark beside each project you select and shades the row. To cancel a selection, click the selected row again.

4. Click the Add to Prime Project button.
   
   The system closes the modal window and displays the Projects tab of the Prime Project Summary with the new projects added to the list.

5. Click the Save button.
   
   The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.
