In Construction, employees of the vendor who are paid on a salaried basis are recorded in reference data as vendor staff.

The Staff tab on the Vendor Asset Summary lists rows of information about vendor staff that can be used in Daily Work Reports. You can expand a row to view or change information in the following fields:

Click in a field and add or change information as needed. To delete a staff member, select Delete from the Actions menu on the staff row.

When you are finished making changes, click the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved.

To maintain additional asset reference information for the vendor, click one of the following tabs:

Equipment

Click the Equipment tab to view and maintain information about vendor equipment. See Maintaining Vendor Assets.

Personnel

Click the Personnel tab to view and maintain information about vendor personnel. See Maintaining Vendor Personnel.

Adding Vendor Staff

To add a single vendor staff row, or a vendor staff row that is not in the database, click the New button on the Staff tab. The system adds a new row at the bottom of the list of vendor staff. All fields in the new row are blank.

To save a vendor staff row, you must enter information in the Vendor Staff Description field. Enter information in other fields as needed.

When you are finished adding information, click the Save button to apply your changes. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved.

Adding Generic Vendor Staff

To add one or more generic pieces of equipment (that is, equipment recorded in reference data), follow these steps:

  1. On the Vendor Asset Summary, click the Staff tab, and then choose Select Generic Staff from the list Actions menu.

The system displays a modal window for selecting generic staff.

  2. At the top of the modal window, you can enter values for the Effective Date, Expiration Date, and Status of the new staff you are adding to the vendor. These values will be applied to all of the generic staff rows you select in the modal window.

  3. Locate the generic staff rows you want to select by typing criteria in the Quick Find search box or by clicking Show first 10.

Each generic staff row displays the staff class and description.

  4. Click each staff row you want to add.

The system adds a check mark beside each staff row you select and shades the row. To cancel a selection, click the selected row again.

  5. When you are finished selecting generic staff, click the Add to Vendor Staff button.

The system closes the modal window and takes you to the Staff tab of the Vendor Asset Summary with the new information added to the list. If you entered values in the modal window for the Effective Date, Expiration Date, and Status, the system enters these values automatically in the new rows.

  6. If needed, enter values in the Vendor Staff ID field for each new row.

  7. When you are finished, click the Save button to apply your changes.

The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved.
