On the Equipment tab:
You can view or change information in these fields:
Note: You cannot change or delete reference vendor equipment that is currently associated to an active contract.
To add a single piece of equipment, or to add a piece of equipment that is not in the database, click the New button. The system adds a new row at the bottom of the list. All fields in the new row are blank.
To save an equipment row, you must enter information in the Vendor Equipment Description field. Enter information in other fields as needed.
Note: Each equipment row for a given vendor must have a unique combination of values for the Vendor Equipment ID and Vendor Equipment Description fields.
To add one or more generic pieces of equipment (that is, equipment recorded in reference data), follow these steps:
On the Vendor Asset Summary, click the Equipment tab, and then choose Select Generic Equipment from the list Actions menu.
The system displays a modal window for selecting generic equipment.
At the top of the modal window, you can enter values for the Effective Date, Expiration Date, and Status of the new equipment you are adding to the vendor. These values will be applied to all of the generic equipment rows you select in the modal window.
Locate the generic equipment rows you want to select by typing criteria in the Quick Find search box or by clicking Show first 10.
Each generic equipment row displays the equipment class and description.
Click the row for each piece of equipment you want to add.
The system adds a check mark beside each row you select and shades the row. To cancel a selection, click the selected row again.
When you are finished selecting generic equipment, click the Add to Vendor Equipment button.
The system closes the modal window and takes you to the Equipment tab of the Vendor Asset Summary with the new equipment added to the list. If you entered values in the modal window for the Effective Date, Expiration Date, and Status, the system enters these values automatically in the new rows.
If needed, enter values in the Vendor Equipment ID field for each new row.
Note: For each vendor, each equipment row must have a unique combination of values for the Vendor Equipment ID and Vendor Equipment Description fields.
You can copy assets from one vendor to another. When you copy assets, all of the assets entered for the source vendor — including equipment, personnel, and staff — are copied to the destination vendor. After the assets are copied, you can change or delete the assets for the destination vendor as needed.
To copy vendor assets, perform the following steps:
Select Copy Vendor Assets from the component Actions menu.
The system displays the Copy Vendor Assets modal window.
Locate the vendor you want by typing criteria in the Quick Find search box, or by clicking Show first 10.
Each row shows the ID, short name, and type for the vendor.
Click a vendor row to select the vendor as the destination of the assets you are copying.
A check mark appears at the beginning of the row to indicate it is selected. Continue selecting vendor rows as needed. You can click a row again to clear the selection.
When you are finished selecting vendors, click the Copy Assets to the Selected Vendors button.
The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved.
If needed, you can go to the Vendor Summary for the destination vendor, click the Asset Quick link, and modify the copied asset information.
