In Construction, employees of the vendor who are paid on an hourly basis are recorded in reference data as vendor personnel.

The Personnel tab on the Vendor Asset Summary lists rows of information about vendor personnel that can be used for Daily Work Reports. You can expand a row to view or change information in the following fields:

Click in a field and add or change information as needed. To delete a personnel member, select Delete from the Actions menu on the personnel row.

When you are finished making changes, click the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved.

To maintain additional asset reference information for the vendor, click one of the following tabs:

Equipment

Click the Equipment tab to view and maintain information about vendor equipment. See Maintaining Vendor Assets.

Staff

Click the Staff tab to view and maintain information about vendor staff. See Maintaining Vendor Staff.

Adding Personnel to the Vendor

To add a single personnel row, or to add a personnel row that is not in the database, click the New button. The system adds a new row at the bottom of the vendor personnel list. All fields in the new row are blank.

To save a personnel row, you must enter information in the Vendor Personnel Description field. Enter information in other fields as needed.

When you are finished adding information, click the Save button to apply your changes. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved.

Adding Generic Personnel to the Vendor

To add one or more generic personnel (that is, personnel recorded in reference data), follow these steps:

  1. On the Vendor Asset Summary, click the Personnel tab, and then choose Select Generic Personnel from the list Actions menu.

The system displays a modal window for selecting generic personnel.

  2. At the top of the modal window, you can enter values for the Effective Date, Expiration Date, and Status of the new personnel you are adding to the vendor. These values will be applied to all of the generic personnel rows you select in the modal window.

  3. Locate the generic personnel rows you want to select by typing criteria in the Quick Find search box or by clicking Show first 10.

Each generic personnel row displays the personnel class and description.

  4. Click each personnel row you want to add.

The system adds a check mark beside each personnel row you select and shades the row. To cancel a selection, click the selected row again.

  5. When you are finished selecting generic personnel, click the Add to Vendor Personnel button.

The system closes the modal window and takes you to the Personnel tab of the Vendor Asset Summary with the new information added to the list. If you entered values in the modal window for the Effective Date, Expiration Date, and Status, the system enters these values automatically in the new rows.

  6. If needed, enter values in the Vendor Personnel ID field for each new row.

  7. When you are finished, click the Save button to apply your changes.

The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved.
