Maintaining Task Groups for Cost Estimate Items

The Cost Estimate Item Task Group Summary lists the price tasks that are part of a task group associated with a cost estimate item. To access the summary, navigate to the Cost Estimate Item Task Groups Overview, and then click the Task Group link on the appropriate task group row.

The upper portion of the summary component displays information about the associated cost estimate item. You can view information in these fields:

Below the item information, the component displays the Task Group and Description, followed by rows of tasks grouped into three collapsible sections according to the calculation method: Bid-Based Tasks, Reference Tasks, and Cost-Based Tasks. In each section, you can view information in these fields:

To view or change information for a task, click the Task link, or select Open from the Actions menu on the task row. The system takes you to a different component depending on the type of task you open. Opening a bid-based task navigates to the Cost Estimate Item Bid Based Task Summary (see Maintaining a Bid-Based Task). Opening a reference task navigates to the Reference Price Task Summary (see Working with Reference Price Tasks for Cost Estimate Items). Opening a cost-based task navigates to the Cost Estimate Item Cost Sheet Overview (see Managing Cost Sheet Price Tasks).
