A sample record contains information about a material that was sampled, tested on location, reviewed for appearance, or otherwise assessed.
On the Materials tab on the Daily Source Report Summary, choose Create New Sample Record from the
Material row Actions menu to access the Add Sample Record from DSR Material component.

You can view or change information in these fields:
The following fields should go in the right column:
To record a remark, first select the type of remark from the Type field, and then enter explanatory text in the Remarks text box.
Note: The system either generates a new Sample ID or displays the field blank, depending on your settings for the Sample ID Auto Generation agency options. To save the new sample record, you may need to enter a Sample ID. See Setting Agency Options.
When you are finished entering information, click the Save button. The system displays the new sample record on the Sample Record Summary. If the sample record material was:
Produced at the source of the daily source report, the new sample record:
Has that source as a primary source.
Has that facility as a primary facility, if the daily source report includes a facility.
Supplied to the source of the daily source report from another source, the new sample record:
Has the material’s originating source as its primary source.
Has the source of the daily source report as an additional source.
Has the facility of the daily source report as an additional facility, if the daily source report includes a facility.
