Copying a Mix Design

The Copy Mix Design component enables you to create a new mix design based on an existing one. When you copy a mix design, the system copies any associations with component materials, contracts, agency views, and SMFMIs. The system also copies any information entered using an agency view associated with the mix design or its component materials.

Note: You can view, add or edit a mix design only for sources and facilities for which your current user role provides access via source authority or vendor authority. For agency users, source authority is automatically granted to mix designs for sources that have a null value in the Source Management Level field.

To access the component, navigate to the Mix Design Overview, locate the mix design you want to copy, and then select Copy from the Actions menu on the mix design row. You can also navigate to the Mix Design Summary and select Copy from the Actions menu on the component header.

On the Copy Mix Design component, enter a unique value in the Mix Design ID field, and click the Copy button. The system displays the new mix design on the Mix Design Summary. See Maintaining a Mix Design for more information.
