Adding a Proposal

A proposal is one or more projects grouped together for bidding. When a proposal contains more than one project, the project items are rolled up to a proposal view so that bidders only have to view and price items once.

To add a new proposal, select Add from the Actions menu on the Proposal Overview component header. When you create a proposal, you do not have to define all the proposal details, just the proposal header information.

To create a new proposal, you must enter information in these fields:

It is not required, but you can enter information in these fields to record additional information about the proposal:

You can populate the Proposal Description and Proposal Long Description fields by importing project information after the proposal has been added. If you plan to do this, enter brief placeholder text in those fields to create the proposal.

When you are finished adding information, save the new proposal to the system by clicking the Save button. The system displays the new proposal on the Proposal Summary page and displays a message to confirm that the new proposal was saved. For more information, see Maintaining a Proposal.
