Creating a Proposal from a Project

You can create a proposal by copying the information from a project into the new proposal record. The project is automatically associated to the new proposal and designated as the controlling project.

Follow these steps to create a proposal from a project:

  1. On the Project Overview component, locate the project you want to use as the basis for a proposal.

  2. Select Create Proposal From Project from the Actions menu on the project's row.

    The system takes you to the Add Proposal component and automatically populates the proposal header fields with information from the project. For more information, see Adding a Proposal.

  3. Add any additional information needed for the proposal, and click the Save button.

    The system takes you to the Proposal Summary component for the new proposal and displays a message to confirm that the new proposal was saved.
