Setting Basic Parameters for a Bid History Profile

The Basic Parameters tab on the Bid History Profile Summary enables you to specify parameters that are used to gather historical bid data. These settings are saved as part of the profile, which can then be used to retrieve data as needed. You can view or change values in these fields:

• Source of Item Prices

• Number of Low Bidders per Proposal

• Market Area

• Date to Use for item prices

• Letting Date Adjustment

• Minimum Number of Bids before Excluding

• Vendor Number

• Convert Opposite Units

• Item Group Set

• Date Rule when date is not available

Click in a field and add, change, or delete values as needed.

Depending on the value in the Source of Item Prices field, you must enter values in different fields as follows:

1. If you select Exclude High/Low Bids in the Source of Item Prices field, you must enter a value in the Minimum Number of Bids before Excluding field.  

2. If you select Low Bids in the Source of Item Prices field, you must enter a value in the Number of Low Bidders per Proposal field.

3. If you choose Select Bidder in the Source of Item Prices field, you must enter a value in the Vendor Number field.

When you are finished making changes, click the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.
