Maintaining a Bid-Based Task for an Item on a Life Cycle Maintenance Schedule

You can use a bid-based task to calculate a price for each item on a cost estimate life cycle maintenance schedule. When maintenance milestone items are added to the schedule, the system automatically creates an inactive bid-based task for each item.

The Cost Estimate Life Cycle Maintenance Schedule Bid Based Task Summary lists all of the information recorded for a bid-based task for an item on a cost estimate life cycle maintenance schedule. You can use the summary to review the task price and specify whether or not the task is used to calculate the price for the item.

Access the component by navigating to the Milestones tab on the Cost Estimate Life Cycle Maintenance Schedule Profile Summary, clicking the Details button on the appropriate item row, and then clicking the Bid Based link in the Price overlay.

You can modify the task description, but a description is required. Selecting the Active check box determines whether the bid-based task is used to calculate the price for the item on the cost estimate life cycle maintenance schedule. You can select the Active check box only if a value is entered in the Task Bid History Profile field.

When you are finished, click the Save button. The system performs the bid history analysis, updates the Unit Price for the item, and displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved.
