The Agency Views tab on the Test Summary contains a list of agency views associated with the material test. An agency view is a component created by your agency to support a specific business function. For more information, see Understanding Agency Views.
Creating an association between an agency view and a material test creates an instance of the agency view that can be populated with relevant information when the test is performed on a sample record. You can access this agency view instance by selecting the name of the agency view from the Actions menu on the Sample Record Test Summary component header (see Maintaining Sample Record Tests).
If an agency view instance was used to enter data but the agency view association becomes inactive, users can view but not add or modify data displayed in the agency view instance.
Each row represents an association between this test and an agency view. Each row includes an Actions button and current values in these fields:
You can modify values in the status and date fields to indicate the status of an association. Each material test can have an active association with only one agency view at a time.
Click in a field and add, change, or delete information as needed.
To delete an association between the test and an agency view, select Delete from the Actions menu on the agency view row. To reverse the delete action, click the Undo button. To save your changes, click the Save button.
To view additional information about an associated agency view, click the Name link, or select Agency View from the Actions menu on the association row. The system takes you to the Agency View Summary. For more information, see Maintaining an Agency View.
In order for agency personnel to use agency views to record test data, the agency view must first be associated with the test. To create an association between the test and one or more agency views, perform these steps:
On the Agency Views tab on the Test Summary, click the Select Agency Views button.
The system displays a modal window that lists agency views with a parent entity of material test.
Click the row for each agency view you want to associate with the test.
The system adds a check mark beside each agency view you select. To cancel a selection, click the selected row again.
When you are finished, click the Add to Test button.
The system closes the modal window, adds the selected agency views to the list on the Agency Views tab, and saves the changes automatically. Each new row is added with a status of inactive.
Note: If you want an association to be active, you must modify the effective date and status, and then save your changes.
