Maintaining Proposal Information for a Letting Estimate

Once detail items are determined for an improvement, a letting estimate can be prepared. At this stage of the estimation life cycle, project items have been built, one or more projects are associated with a proposal, and project items are rolled up into proposal items. If a cost estimate is not associated with the proposal, cost estimates for the associated projects determine the proposal item prices. When a cost estimate is created for the proposal, proposal items are copied to the new estimate, and any cost estimates for projects associated with the proposal become inactive. Item price changes that result from a proposal cost estimate are applied to the related project items prices as appropriate.

The Proposal Cost Estimate Summary lists information about the selected proposal and any cost estimates associated with it. To access the component, click the Cost Estimate quick link on the Proposal Summary.
