Maintaining Identifications for a Source Material

A source material facility material identification, or SMFMI, is a way to uniquely identify a like material supplied by the same source or facility, such as a batch, lot, seal, or stockpile.

The SMFMI tab on the Source Material Summary component contains a list of identifications for the source material. Each row contains an Actions button and current values for the following fields:

To delete an SMFMI from this source material, select Delete from the Actions menu on the SMFMI row. The system shades the row gray to indicate it is marked for deletion. To reverse the delete action, click the Undo button.

Click Save when you are finished to apply your changes. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.

To add create a new SMFMI and add it to this source material, click the Add button. The system takes you to the Add Source Material Facility Material Identification component. See Adding a Source Material Facility Material Identification.

To change the information for a source material identification, click the SMFMI Name link in the list, or select Open from the Actions menu on the SMFMI row. The system takes you to the Source Material Facility Material Identification Summary component. See Managing SMFMI Authority and Maintaining SMFMI Authorities.
