Getting Source Data from a Bid History Profile

A bid history profile is a collection of settings used to gather historical bid data for cost estimation purposes. Source data is historical bid data for an item. You can use source data information to help price items more efficiently.

You can gather the historical source data at any time by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to a Bid History Profile Summary.

  2. Click on the Bid History Profile Summary component Actions menu.

  3. Select Get Bid History Profile Source Data. The system takes you to the Execute Process component. 

  4. Click the Execute button on the component header to run the process.

    The Process 'GenerateBidHistoryProfileSourceData' Started message will be prompted. To check the status of executing the process select Open Process History on the global Actions menu. See Viewing System Process History.

  5. When the process has finished, navigate back to the Bid History Profile Summary.

  6. Click the Source Data tab to view a list of all of the items included in the pricing profile calculations.

Each item row displays the following information:

You can exclude any item from the pricing profile calculation by selecting Exclude from Search Results from the Actions menu on the item row.
