Entering Test Results for Sieve Analysis

The FACA Test Results agency view enables you to enter and maintain test results for sieve analysis of fine and coarse aggregates.

In order to make an agency view available for use on the Sample Record Test Summary or the Enter Test Results component, the agency view must be associated with the reference test and marked as active. Only one agency view can be active at a time for each reference test. If the agency view was used to enter data but the agency view association is inactive, users can view but not add or modify data in the agency view. For more information, see Maintaining Test Associations with Agency Views.

For a sample record test that is associated with the FACA Test Results agency view, you can access the component by navigating to the Sample Record Test Summary and selecting Test Results from the Actions menu on the component header, or by navigating to the Enter Test Results component and selecting Test Results from the Actions menu on the appropriate test row.

The upper portion of the FACA Test Results agency view includes information about the sample record in these fields:

The lower portion of the component displays rows for each sieve size noted in the associated reference specification. The system sets the values for the Specification Name, Specification Condition Name, and Sieves fields based on the associated reference specification marked as Use for Test.

Each sieve row includes these fields:

The system displays values in the Minimum % Passing and Maximum % Passing fields in each sieve row to match the minimum and maximum limits set up for the sieve size in the associated reference specification.

You can enter values in these fields: Mass of Dry Aggregate, Test Result Value, and Mass Dry Retained.

In the Mass of Dry Aggregate field, enter the beginning mass of the material sample before it is tested. For each sieve size used for testing, enter the mass of the sample that remains after the test in the Mass Dry Retained field. Based on the mass retained, the system calculates values for the Retained % and % Passing fields, and displays either Yes or No in the In Range field. After reviewing and analyzing the results of sieve testing, you can make a selection in the Test Result Value field.

When you are finished making changes, click the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.

To remove all of the data saved for the current sample record test on the FACA Test Results agency view, select Clear Usage Data from the Actions menu on the component header. Usage data can be cleared only if the agency view association is active. The system deletes all of the information entered using the agency view.
