If you are setting up a new proposal that is similar to another proposal already saved in the database, you can copy the existing proposal and assign it a new proposal ID. You can also choose to copy one or more of the projects associated with the proposal.
Follow these steps to copy a proposal and a project:
On the Proposal Overview component, locate the proposal you want to copy. Select Copy Proposal and Project from the Actions menu on the proposal row.
The Copy Proposal component displays Step 1 of a guided process that enables you to copy the proposal and selected projects associated with the proposal.
Click in the New Proposal ID field, and enter a unique ID for the new proposal.
Click Next.
Step 2 of the guided process displays a list of projects associated with the proposal you are copying. You can click Previous at any time to return to a previous step if needed.
To copy a project associated with the proposal, click the project row to select it.
The system adds a check mark beside each row you select. To cancel a selection, click the row again.
Continue selecting project rows as needed. Click Next.
Step 3 of the guided process displays a list of the projects you selected, if any.
If you selected projects to copy with the proposal, enter a unique value in the New Project ID field for each project.
When you are finished, click Copy Proposal.
The system validates the new Proposal ID and displays the new proposal on the Proposal Summary page. The system automatically populates the Version Date field for the new proposal with the current date. The system does not copy award-related information, including Proposal Status of Award, Status Date, Awarded Vendor, and Awarded Amount.
