When you are posting DWR items on the Daily Work Report - Work Item component, you can use the DWR Return Quantity Tracking agency view to calculate the value for the Quantity Posted field. This is helpful for work items that include multiple installation areas with different volumes, such as concrete.
In order to make an agency view available for use on the Daily Work Report - Work Item component, you must first associate the agency view with the reference item, and then add that association to the contract item. If the agency view was used to enter data but the agency view association becomes inactive, users can view but not add or modify data in the agency view. For more information, see Maintaining DWR Agency Views for Reference Items and Maintaining DWR Agency Views Contract Item Associations.
Note: The DWR Return Quantity Tracking component is a sample agency view included with the system. Sample agency views are read-only and cannot be associated with other records. Instead, your administrator must copy the sample agency view and its related agency entities, and then you can associate the copy with the appropriate record and enter data as needed. As a result, the agency view copy will have a different name from the original sample described in this topic.
After associations are set up properly for the contract item, you can access the DWR Return Quantity Tracking component by navigating to the Daily Work Report - Work Item component, locating the item posting for which you want to calculate the quantity, and then selecting DWR Return Quantity Tracking from the Actions menu on the posting row.
The upper portion of the DWR Return Quantity Tracking component displays read-only values in the Final Return Value (5% Incr) and Total Computed Volume fields.
The lower portion of the component lists rows for each installation area where the work item is used. Each installation area row includes current values in the Depth, Length, and Width fields, and displays a calculated value in the Volume field.
The read-only value displayed in the Total Computed Volume field at the top of the component shows the sum of the volumes calculated in all of the rows. The Final Return Value (5% Incr) field is the total computed volume increased by five percent. The system enters this value in the Quantity Posted field on the DWR Item Postings Summary.
To modify an existing installation area, click in a field and add, change, or delete information as needed.
To delete an installation area, select Delete from the Actions menu on the area row. To reverse the delete action, click the Undo button.
To add a new installation area, click the New button. The system adds a blank row to the list. Enter information in all fields as needed.
When you are finished making changes, click the Save button. The system performs the volume and sum calculations, enters the Final Return Value amount in the Quantity Posted field, and displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.
To delete the information entered on the DWR Return Quantity Tracking component for the current work item, select Clear Usage Data from the Actions menu on the component header. Usage data can be cleared only if the agency view association is active. The system clears all of the data on the component. The system does not modify the calculated value saved in the Quantity Posted field on the DWR Item Postings Summary.
