Working with Supplied Materials

A supplied material is a source material that is supplied to another source (e.g., aggregate from a pit that is used at an asphalt plant). It includes an association between a reference material, the source where the material is used, and the source that manufactured or supplied that material.
The Supplied Materials tab on the Source Summary component lists all of the materials that the source is approved to distribute. Each row contains an Actions button and current values for the following fields:

To edit information for a supplied material, click the Material Code link in the list, or select Open from the Actions menu on the source material row. See Maintaining a Source Material.

The row Actions menu has the following functions:

Actions

Select Delete to delete a supplied material record. Select the Undo button to reverse the delete action. Click the Save button when you are finished.

Select Exclude from Search Results to exclude the supplied material record from the list of search results.

Select Open to open a supplied material record. See Maintaining a Source Material.

Views

Select Attachments to manage attachments in a project. See Working with Attachments.

Select Links to manage links in a project. See Working with Links.

If your agency has associated agency views, they will display in this section, alphabetically. Select an agency view to go to the Agency View Summary component. You can modify data in agency views with an Active association, and view data in Inactive agency views where data exists.
Click the Save button when you are finished.

Adding a New Supplied Material

When you add a supplied material to a source, you select an active source material from reference data already entered in the system. To add a new source material, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the Select Supplied Materials... button.

The system displays the Select Supplied Materials modal window.

  2. Locate the material you want by typing criteria in the Quick Find search box, or by clicking Show First 10.

  3. Click a material row to select it.

A check mark appears at the beginning of the row to indicate it is selected. Continue selecting material rows as needed. You can click a row again to clear the selection.

  4. When you are finished selecting materials, click the Add to Supplied Material button.
