Viewing Variables in a Snapshot

The Variables tab on the Cost Estimate Snapshot Summary lists all of the variables that were recorded for the cost estimate when the snapshot was created. A variable is a numeric value used in formulas to calculate an estimate. Variables represent values that can change, such as the number of miles of pavement or the acreage of a work site area, and therefore affect the total cost estimate or the cost estimate for an item.

Each variable row includes an Actions button and read-only values in these fields:

• Variable Name

• Variable Description

• Value
