Maintaining an Item Conversion

The Item Conversion Summary displays mapping settings for converting a reference item from one unit system to another for analysis purposes, such as generating bid histories. To access this component, locate the item conversion you want to work with in the Item Conversion Overview, and click the English Item link or select Open from the Actions menu on the item conversion's row.

You can view or change values in these fields:

Click in a field and add, change, or delete information as needed.

When you enter a value in the English Item field, the system automatically sets the values in the English Spec Book and English Item Unit of Measure fields. Likewise, when you enter a value in the Metric Item field, the system sets the values in the Metric Spec Book and Metric Item Unit of Measure fields.

To add a new item conversion, select Add New from the Actions menu on the component header. The system takes you to the Add Item Conversion component. For more information, see Adding a Reference Item Conversion.

When you are finished making changes, click the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.
