Adding a Reference Item Conversion

Item conversions are mapping attributes for converting reference items from one unit system to another for analysis purposes, such as generating bid histories.

To access the Add Item Conversion component, select Add from the Actions menu on the Item Conversion Overview component header.

To save a new item conversion, you must enter information in these fields:

If you add more than one item conversion in a given metric spec book for the same English item, you must also enter a value in the English to Metric Preference field. Similarly, if you add more than one reference item conversion in a given English spec book for the same metric item, you must enter a value in the Metric to English Preference field.

Values are automatically displayed in these fields when you enter an English or metric item, respectively:

Click Save when you are finished. The system displays a message to confirm that the new information was saved and displays the new item conversion on the Item Conversion Summary.
