Maintaining Qualifications

Qualifications are maintained as reference information and associated with the person records of samplers, testers, calibrators, welders, and storm inspectors. Qualifications are also associated with the laboratories and test equipment used by agencies for material quality assurance.

When you click the Qualifications link in the Reference Data component, the system takes you to the Qualification Overview, where you can manage all of the information in a qualification.

To maintain an existing qualification, first locate the qualification row by typing criteria in the Quick Find search box or by clicking Show first 10. The system displays a list of qualifications that match your search criteria.

Each row contains an Actions button and current values for the following fields:

To change the information in a qualification row, click the Qualification ID link in the list to go to the Qualification Summary component (see Changing a Qualification).

To add a new qualification to the system, select Add from the Actions menu on the component header (see Adding a Qualification).

To delete a qualification, select Delete from the Actions menu on the qualification's row. To reverse the delete action, click the Undo button. Click the Save button to apply your changes to the system. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved.
