Maintaining Product Group Assignments

A product group is a group of material products, such as aggregate products or curing seal products. The Product Group Assignment component enables you to associate a product group with a material category from a specific lab that uses a specific sample type. After the association is created, it can be associated with persons to provide access to matching sample records in the Review Samples queue (see Maintaining Product Group Sample Reviewer Assignments and Using the Worksheet to Review Samples).

To access the Product Group Assignment component, click the Product Group Assignment link in the Reference Data component.

The component lists all of the product group assignments in the system. Expand a row to display all of the information. You can view or change information in these fields:

To add a new product group assignment, click New. The system adds a new blank row at the bottom of the list. Enter or select information as needed.

To delete a product group assignment, select Delete from the Actions menu on the assignment row. To reverse the deletion, click the Undo button.

When you are finished, click Save. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.
