Maintaining Employee Apprentice Information

The Apprentice tab on the Reference Employee Summary component contains a list of all the apprenticeships in which the employee has been enrolled. An employee can only be enrolled in one current apprenticeship at a time. An apprenticeship is considered current as long as the Obsolete Date and Graduated to Journeyman Date fields for that apprenticeship are either blank or in the future.

Each row in the list displays an Action button and current values for the Apprtc ID, Apprtc Fringe, Journeyman Dt, and Obs Dt fields.

To maintain an apprenticeship record, expand the row to display all the available information. You can view or change information in these fields:

Click in a field and add, change, or delete information as needed.

Expand the Craft Codes section to display a list of craft codes associated with the apprenticeship. For each craft code, you can view or change information in these fields:

To add a new apprenticeship for the employee, click the New button. The system adds a new row at the bottom of the list. All fields in the new row are blank. To create a new apprenticeship, you must enter information in the Apprentice ID and Apprentice Craft Code fields. Record information in other fields as needed.

Click Save when finished to apply your changes to the system (including deleted information). The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.
