Maintaining Decision Class Information

Federal job classifications are groupings of occupations into categories defined by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). For labor reporting purposes, each state job classification (that is, Decision Class Code) must be mapped to an associated federal job classification.

When you click the Decision Class link in the Reference Data component, the system takes you to the Wage Decision Classification Summary component.

Below the header information, the system displays rows of decision class codes. Each row represents the mapping of one decision class code to a federal job classification. Each row contains an Actions button and current values for the following fields:

Click in a field and add, change, or delete information as needed.

To add a new decision class code, click the New button. The system adds a new blank row to the bottom of the list. To save the new row, you must enter information in the Decision Class and Description fields.

To delete a decision class code, select Delete from the Actions menu on the code row. To reverse the deletion, click the Undo button. See Deleting Code Table Values for more information about deleting code table values.

When you are finished, click the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.
