Checking Out a Project to Estimator

The Check Out Project To Estimator process saves data for one project in an .xml format that is compatible with Estimator.

You can export project information from Preconstruction to Estimator to update only the pricing in an estimate. This process assigns the project to checked out status and prevents users from making changes to the project until you check it back in.

Note: You can only check out one project at a time. To be checked out, a project must contain items and cannot be locked.

To check out a project to Estimator, select Execute Process from the Actions menu on the Menu Bar, and then choose Check Out Project To Estimator from the list of processes. See Executing Processes.
