Adding a Reference Event

In Civil Rights & Labor, an event is a milestone that takes place at particular intervals of time during the DBE certification process. An event is usually made up of one or more associated actions, which are activities that must be completed as steps toward the completion of an event.

To create a new reference event, select Add from the Actions menu on the Event Type Overview component header.

On the Add Event Type component, enter information in the Event field.

When you have finished adding information, save the new reference event by clicking the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.

To add another reference event, click the Add New button when you have finished entering information for the current row. The system automatically saves the current row in the system and clears the detail row. Follow the same steps to continue adding as many reference events as required.

Adding Actions to an Event

The lower part of the component contains a blank Action row in which you can add an action to the new event. To create a new action, you must enter information in the Action field.

To add another action to the event, click the New button. The system adds a blank row at the bottom of the list of actions. Follow the same steps to add as many actions to the new event as needed.

When you have finished adding actions, apply your changes to the system by clicking the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.
