Using the Field Interviewer Mobile Application

Web-based AASHTOWare Project™ works with several mobile applications that allow agency personnel to use a smartphone or tablet to capture information in the field.
Infotech Field Interviewer™ is works with AASHTOWare Project Civil Rights & Labor™ to allow field interviewers to collect the information used to ensure that agency contracts comply with federal and state regulations for personnel field interviews. This application is available for free download at the Apple and Google Play stores.
Mobile applications can be used online or offline and can accommodate any size contract.

After Field Interviewer is installed on a device, a system administrator associates the mobile device with an AASHTOWare Project user account. This enables the device to exchange information between Field Interviewer and AASHTOWare Project Civil Rights & Labor.

Field Interviewer can be used to access data only for those contracts for which the user is assigned contract-specific contract authority. In the Field Interviewer application, the user can view the contract, contractors, employee information, job classifications, wages, and fringe benefits. Reference data and code table values are available for the user as needed to enter interview information.

When an interview record is created in Field Interviewer, the interview information can be transferred to AASHTOWare Project according to the interview status. Field Interviewer sends field interview information including general employee information, job classifications, wage and hour information, fringe benefits, and attachments. After the interview is sent to AASHTOWare Project, it remains available in Field Interviewer as read-only information for a year. Upon subsequent connections, the interview and contract data in Field Interviewer is updated with the latest information from AASHTOWare Project.
