A facility material is an association between a reference material and a facility that is approved to manufacture, supply, or otherwise distribute that material. To sample and test these materials, agencies must record the materials as Facility Materials.
The Materials tab on the Facility Summary contains a list of materials for which this is an approved facility. Each row contains an Actions button and current values for the following fields:
To delete a facility material, select Delete from the Actions menu on the facility material row. To reverse the delete action, click the Undo button. When you are finished, click the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.
To change the information for a facility material, click the Material Code link in the list, or select Open from the Actions menu on the facility material row. The system takes you to the Facility Material Summary component. See Maintaining a Facility Material.
To view or change the reference data for a material, select Material from the Actions menu on the facility material row. The system takes you to the Material Summary component. See Maintaining a Reference Material.
To add one or more facility materials, perform the following steps:
Go to the Materials tab on the Facility Summary, and click the Select Facility Materials button on the facility material list.
The system displays the Select Facility Materials modal window.
Locate the material you want by typing criteria in the Quick Find search box, or by clicking Show First 10.
The modal window lists rows of materials that match your criteria.
Click a material row to select it.
A check mark appears at the beginning of the row to indicate it is selected. Continue selecting material rows as needed. You can click a row again to clear the selection.
When you are finished selecting materials, click the Add to Facility button.
The system closes the modal window and displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved.
You can copy materials from a facility to one or more other facilities. When you copy materials, all information about the association between the facility and material is copied to the selected facilities, including active indication fields. If any of the materials are already associated with a selected facility, none of the materials are copied, and the system displays an error message indicating which materials are duplicates.
To copy source materials to one or more facilities, perform the following steps:
Go to the Materials tab on the Facility Summary, and select Copy Facility Materials to Facilities from the Actions menu on the facility material list.
The system displays the Copy Facility Materials to Facilities modal window.
Locate the facility you want by typing criteria in the Quick Find search box, or by clicking Show First 10.
The modal window lists rows of facilities that match your criteria.
Click a facility row to select it.

Maintaining a Reference Material
