Recording Component Materials on a DSR

In this Topic

  1. Adding a Component Material to the DSR Material

A component material is one of multiple materials that make up a whole material. For example, aggregate is one of the materials that make up concrete.

The Components tab on the DSR Material component contains an accordion list of all the materials that are components of the DSR material. Each row displays an Actions button and current values for the Material, SMFMI, and Remarks fields.

To maintain a component, expand the row to display all the available information. You can view or change the following information:

Click in a field and add, change, or delete information as required.

To add a remark, first select the type of remark from the Type field, then enter explanatory text in the Remarks text box. To delete a newly added remark, click the Delete button to the right of the remark. You can delete a saved remark by clicking the Mark for Deletion button. You can undo the mark for deletion by clicking the Undo button.

To delete a component material, select Delete from the Actions menu on the component material row. To reverse the delete action, click the Undo button.

When you are finished making changes to component materials, click the Save button to apply your changes to the system (including deleted information). The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.
