The Cost Estimate Typical Section Profile Summary lists all of the information saved for a cost estimate typical section. You can access the summary by navigating to the Cost Estimate Typical Section Profile Overview, and then selecting Open from the Actions menu on the appropriate typical section row.
The summary opens on the General tab. You can view or change information in these fields:
Click in a field and add, change, or delete information as needed. If you change underlying data required for the calculation, the Total field does not display a value until you save the changes.
When you are finished, click the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved. If you change the Qty value, the system recalculates the total cost for the typical section by repricing each item in the typical section when you save the change.
To recommend the cost estimate typical section to be available to other users as a reference profile, select Recommend as Reference from the Actions menu on the component header. This action is available only if the cost estimate typical section does not already have a recommendation waiting to be approved, rejected, or deleted (see Reviewing Reference Recommendations).
To remove the recommended cost estimate typical section from consideration as a reference profile, select Cancel Recommendation from the Actions menu on the component header. This action is available only if the cost estimate typical section has a recommendation that has not been approved, rejected, or deleted (see Reviewing Reference Recommendations).
