Maintaining Fiscal Years

Fiscal year information is recorded for a proposal to predict what percentage of work should be completed during each fiscal year when work on the proposal is planned. Percentage of work is calculated both by the time elapsed and the funding allocated during each fiscal year.

You can view and maintain fiscal year information by using the Fiscal Year Summary component. To go to the Fiscal Year Summary, select Fiscal Years from the Actions menu on the Proposal Summary component header.

The Fiscal Year Summary component contains a rolling list of all the fiscal years currently associated with the proposal. To maintain a fiscal year record, click anywhere in that fiscal year's row. The system highlights the row in blue and displays information in labeled fields. You can view or change information in these fields:

To delete a fiscal year record, select Delete from the Actions menu on the fiscal year row. Click the Save button to apply your changes.

To add a new fiscal year to the proposal, click the New button on the Fiscal Year Summary. The system adds a new row at the end of the rolling list of fiscal year records. All fields in the new row are blank. To create a fiscal year record, you must enter information in the Fiscal Year field.

When you are finished making changes, click the Save button. The system displays a message to confirm that your changes were saved in the database.
