Historical Reports

Historical reports are reports that are generated and attached as a PDF file to a record in the associated entity as a result of an active system event or tracked issue event. Any report can be generated as a historical report if the appropriate event is set up. These reports can also be generated on demand by using the Generate Reports component. When a system event or tracked issue event is triggered, the system generates the report specified in the event and attaches it to a record in the associated entity. Each time the event is triggered, the system generates the report and attaches it to the record, overwriting the previous copy. When you select the report name from the Historical Reports section on an Actions menu, the system displays the historical report as it was generated the last time the associated system event or tracked issue event was triggered.

You can generate the same report with current data by selecting the report name from the Reports section on an Actions menu. The system takes you to the Generate Report component with the report and parameters already selected (see Working with Reports).

For example, if the ContractorEvaluationInApproved system event is active, the system automatically generates the Contractor Evaluation Historical Report when a contractor evaluation is approved. The report is generated in PDF format and attached to the contractor evaluation record. You can view the historical report by selecting Contractor Evaluation Report from the Historical Reports section on the Actions menu on the Contractor Evaluation Summary component.

You can run the Contractor Evaluation Report at any time, regardless of the evaluation status, by selecting Contractor Evaluation Report from the Reports section on the Actions menu on the Contractor Evaluation Summary component. The system takes you to the Generate Report component with the report and parameters already selected, and generates the report with current data.
