SiteManager is an AASHTOWare Project client/server application used by many agencies to manage the road and bridge construction that results from agency proposals. After material sample information has been migrated from SiteManager and modified in web-based AASHTOWare Project, you can export the changes to SiteManager.
The export file includes only the sample information that has changed since the last time the export process was run and only for those sample record tests for which the Counts Toward MAA field is set to True. The export file includes information about sample records, sample status, associated tests, and associated contract project items.
Note: In SiteManager, values in the Status Type field are a maximum of four characters in length. If Sample Status reference values in web-based AASHTOWare Project exceed four characters, the export file maps the values to those in SiteManager with the same mapping used to originally migrate the sample data into web-based AASHTOWare Project. If Sample Status values that exceed four characters are added after migration, those values are included in the export file and must be corrected prior to importing the file into SiteManager.
To create the export CSV file for importing into SiteManager, select Execute System Interface from the Actions menu on the Menu Bar, and select Export Sample Results to SiteManager in the list of interfaces. For more information about executing interfaces, see Executing System Interfaces.
The system generates an export file and saves it in agency's default location on the server with the default name SM_SAMPLERECORD_CONTRACTASSOC.CSV (overwriting any existing export file with the same name). You must have access to the file location on the server in order to access the export files.
The system also generates a log file that is saved in the default location with the default name ExportSampleRecordContractAssociationToSiteManager.log (overwriting any existing log file with the same name). You can view the log file from the Process History Overview component. For information about how to view process log files, see Viewing Process History.
In order to pull the exported information into SiteManager, the agency must create a custom process for that application as needed.
