Copying a Workflow

If you are adding a new workflow that is similar to an existing workflow, you can save the time it would take to add all the phases to the new workflow by creating a copy of the existing workflow and assigning it a new Workflow ID. You can then make any minor changes to the phases required for the new workflow.

Follow these steps to make a copy of a workflow:

  1. On the Workflow Overview component, find the workflow you want to copy in the list and select Copy from that row's Action menu.

The system takes you to the Copy Workflow component.

  2. Click in the Workflow ID field, delete the existing value and enter a unique ID for the new workflow.

  3. Click in the Workflow Description field, delete the existing value and type a description for the new workflow.

  4. Click Save.

The system validates the new Workflow ID and adds the new workflow to the database. You can now change phase information as needed on the Workflow Summary component for the new workflow.
