The system provides a process for copying reference items and their price tasks from one spec book to another. For the selected reference items that do not already exist in the destination spec book, the system copies the items and any associated task groups, reference prices, and price tasks.
When you select a parametric item and its associated detail items to be copied, the system also copies the associated transition profile. If the detail items are not selected and do not already exist in the destination spec book, then only the parametric item is copied, and the transition profile and detail items are listed in the process results log.
Note: Before copying a large number of reference items to a new spec book, evaluate any system event notifications that are based on changes to reference items and disable the notifications if needed.
